Find your tyre size
The sidewall is the starting point.

Look for a marking such as 205/55 R16.
In this example, 205 is the width in millimetres, 55 is the sidewall height as a percentage of the width, and 16 is the wheel diameter in inches. R identifies radial construction.
Include the letters and numbers that follow.
The load index and speed rating matter too, for example 91V. Give us the full marking and your vehicle details. The tyre specification must suit the vehicle, not just fit the wheel.
Only check when it is safe.
If the car is in an unsafe position, do not put yourself at risk to read the tyre. Call with the information you already have. The size is often printed inside the driver’s door frame or in the handbook too.
